Verbal Reasoning: Paper C (Challenge)

Instructions:

Identify how the word in the brackets is formed from the two words on either side. The patterns in this paper are more complex.

Example:

( star [ rat ] trap )

( flow [ ? ] wolf )

Logic:

1. Take the 3rd letter of the first word (star).

2. Take the 2nd letter of the first word (star)?? No. rat comes from STAR backwards? Or R from STAR, A from TRAP, T from TRAP? Let's check: STAR (1234) TRAP (1234). RAT = R(4 of 1) + A(3 of 1) + T(2 of 1). It's STAR reversed (letters 4,3,2)!

Apply to second group: FLOW (1234) -> W(4) O(3) L(2) = WOL.
