Subject: Complaint regarding faulty ‘Astro-Zoom’ Telescope (Order #CZ78-B4)

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the ‘Astro-Zoom’ Telescope I received on the 2nd of September. As an enthusiastic amateur astronomer, I ordered this product based on the glowing reviews on your website, which promised “crystal-clear cosmic views” and “robust, precision engineering.” Regrettably, the product I have received fails to meet even the most basic standards of quality, let alone the superlative descriptions provided in your marketing materials.

Upon unpacking the telescope, I immediately noticed that the main tripod leg was dented and unstable, making it impossible to secure the instrument properly. A wobbly base, as you know, renders a telescope utterly useless for observation. Furthermore, when I attempted to look through the eyepiece, the view was not the advertised “crystal-clear” vista but a murky, blurred image, suggestive of a flaw in the primary lens. No amount of adjustment to the focus knob could rectify this fundamental problem.

The accompanying ‘Star-Finder’ software, which was a significant factor in my decision to purchase this particular model, also proved to be defective. The activation code provided on the leaflet was repeatedly rejected as invalid, denying me access to this key feature.

This is simply not acceptable for a product that cost £249.99. The telescope is not fit for purpose. It is a substandard piece of equipment, and I feel thoroughly let down. I have been a loyal customer of Cosmic Gadgets Ltd. for several years, but this experience has severely undermined my confidence in your brand.

I am requesting a full refund for the total amount. I have repackaged the telescope, along with all its accessories and the faulty software leaflet, in its original box. Please arrange for a courier to collect the item at your earliest convenience, or provide a pre-paid postage label for its return.

I expect a prompt response to this letter within fourteen working days.
